Here’s an experiment in keepings things small and confined to one Javascript file. There are no external image files or anything, everything is rendered with Javascript using either canvas elements or old fashioned div-making tactics (for IE). The sprites are stored in custom encoded strings in a format that only allows 4 colors for each sprite but in turn only takes up around 40-60 bytes per sprite.
We also have MIDI music embedded as base64-encoded data: URI’s. No music for IE, though, and it seems all the other browsers each have different, minor problems with it, but it sort of works.
It is by no means a complete clone or anything, it’s not even an entire level and several key things are missing, such as mushrooms, Koopas and stuff. It was merely done as a sort of proof-of-concept and to see how small it could get.
Performance varies somewhat between the different browsers, but Firefox, Opera, Safari and IE are all playable. The latest WebKit nightly seems to give Safari a speed boost.
Be sure to click the mouse on the game if Mario won’t move. When you die, you have to reload the page to start over. And yes, you can move left. Sorry.
I tried to download the Javascript file and simulate it in my local machine to see if it really works, and it does! Amazing!

I am new to Mac and I wanted to test out my Macbook Pro. It has 256 MB Video Card! Try Cube Action. It is an online FPS. Has similarities to Counterstrike. Best of all, it is free. Legally as in Open-source.
About
ActionCube is a total conversion of Wouter van Oortmerssen´s FPS called Cube. Set in a realistic looking environment, as far as that´s possible with this engine, while gameplay stays fast and arcade. This game is all about team oriented multiplayer fun.
Story
Well, there is no story. Bascially this game is about these two teams fighting each other:
The Cubers Liberations Army (CLA)
Little is known about the goals and motivation of this small but feared Terrorist group. Their activities are as diverse as their members. With ex-military, anarchists, religious fanatics, conspiracy theorists, hippies stuck tripping, free© software fanatics™, or simply severely mental disordered persons or bored youngsters, this organization is a pool for radicals from across the globe. Their operations range from simple annoyances (such as introducing large amounts of mariuana-smoke into the air conditioners of offices or malls) to well planned gruesome bombings, choosing civilians as well as politicians, lobbyists or religious leaders and their staff as targets. “Terror for the sake of terror, for you all suck!” seems to be their motto.
The Rabid Viper Special Forces (RVSF)
An elite group of armed special forces, but not the kind you´d expect. These guys are battle worn fighters and mercenairies, who might have been just a little too trigger happy and up for glory to fit into any other kind of elite squad. Not suitable where lives are to be spared and private or public property to remain unharmed. The backrounds and funders of this extravagant task-force remain well concealed, for obvious reasons. Their primary targets are highly unpredictable terrorists and organized criminals such as the CLA where intelligence, infiltration and stealth would be just a waste of time. “First shoot, then ask questions, if anyone´s left to ask” is the primary approach to their job.

Here is a fun game I found while surfing. It is an online flash game played on a browser. A lot like Worms on the PlayStation.

A real world cash card that allows gamers to spend money earned in a virtual universe has been launched.
Gamers can use the card at cash machines around the world to convert virtual dollars into real currency.
The card is offered by the developers of Project Entropia, an online role-playing game that has a real world cash economy.
Last year, a virtual space resort being built in the game was snapped up by a gamer for $100,000 (£56,200).
The buyer, Jon Jacobs who plays in the game as a character called Nerverdie, is developing the space station into a virtual night club through which the entertainment industry can sell music and videos to gamers.
“We’re bridging the gap between virtual reality and reality right now,” said Jan Welter, founder of Project Entropia.

US magazine PC Gamer have gotten access to EA’s upcoming PC title Command and Conquer 3. Here are some choice screens of the game which have been photographed from the article in the magazine.
According to the PC Gamer article the story behind this game revolves around the world been thrown into chaos due to the spread of Tiberium. As a result 20% of the Earth’s surface has become Tiberium-infested and is now inhospitable (these areas are Red Zones). Tiberium hasn’t fully taken hold of 50% of the Earth (these areas are Yellow Zones) and the rest of the Earth is more or less safe (these areas are called Blue/Green zones) this area is also where the GDI is headquartered. The GDI is trying to prevent the spread of Tiberium and convert the Yellow Zones to Blue Zones. The only other information the article give us it that the game will use the SAGE engine (from C&C Generals) but it will be heavily modified. It also says Kane will be returning and Live-action scenes will be making a comeback to the C&Cverse .

Recently,
TiVo had sought $87 million in damages from the Dish satellite-TV network in a patent dispute that TiVo lawyers said could be “life or death” for the company that sold the first box for pausing and rewinding live television.
Lawyers for EchoStar, Dish’s parent, had countered in their closing arguments that the company invented its own digital video recorder without TiVo technology. They said TiVo is using EchoStar as an excuse for its own failure to compete against other makers of set-top boxes. TiVo, based in Alviso, Calif., has lost nearly $650 million in its nine-year history.
