Yahoo has launched a Youtube-like service where people can upload their videos. At first glance it looks okay. But after clicking some of the random videos, I found out that it is very diferrent from Youtube. I clicked this Taylor Hicks video and it says: “This video will be played from mywebsite.com”. Now, this is a totaly bad idea. I think Yahoo Video will become a promotional tool for websites who can afford tons of bandwidth.
Youtube on the other hand, with its flash video player, is still the best. Especially with its tags and the other niffty features that they offer.
