I am not a big fan of Southpark but I love The Simpsons. Anways, I thought it would be nice to post something like this here. Here is what is posted on Simpsons Channel.
Bart Simpson switched networks for one night, to join forces with Eric Cartman in his quest to get Family Guy pulled off the air. In the South Park episode Cartoon Wars (Part II), A slightly different looking and sounding Bart Simpson exchanged words with Cartman and Kyle regarding the pulling of Family Guy. It is the second time creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have directly referenced The Simpsons. In a 2002 episode titled ‘Simpsons Already Did It,’ the creators poked fun at the fact that The Simpsons had ran out of storylines.
But Trey and Matt love The Simpsons, as Trey said following that episode “For some reason people lump South Park and The Simpsons and any animated program together. [It's] unfortunate that we have to be compared to one of the best shows on television ever. We never get compared to Sister, Sister or Small Wonder.”
